A little about us...

AAT was incorporated in July 1987 by Ray Karadayi for the purpose of developing CAD based online and offline dimensional measurement software products.

Over the years, AAT stayed as an independent software company and developed multiple products for many different dimensional measurement applications. Because of the great interest from the market for our CAPPS package as there was no other CAD based online measurement software at that time, many customers and CMM manufacturers were interested in using CAPPS and allowed AAT to developed direct interfaces with many different CMM controllers. In later years, AAT created RMI: Remote Machine Interface software and protocol that allowed its own software products as well as other 3rd party software to interface many different controller via a common interface protocol. RMI can interface directly to most of the legacy CMM controllers. RMI-NC is the NC machine tool version of this and it can also connect to many machine tool controllers providing a common interface capability.

In the early 1990s, AAT was approached by ASI Robotics, which is a major machine tool supplier to aerospace industry to incorporate our Capps software with their machines for the trim and drilling cells for Boeing 777 manufacturing. This allowed AAT to introduce the Capps-NC software to offline program any machining center to function similar to a CMM and run these programs with live interface with the machine tool controllers and provide feedback from the measurement results to achieve ‘Adaptive Manufacturing with Metrology Feedback.' Today, this is one of our strongest growth areas with CappsNC having the capability to program any machining center with complex kinematic configurations and with its direct interface capability providing a real time feedback to the controller.

Over the years, AAT remained an independent technology software company and introduced many more software solutions and options to our portfolio. As we are approaching our 30th year in business, we are still focused on innovation and being the leader in software solutions for metrology, quality control and adaptive manufacturing systems.

Quality Control

We can help develop the best measurement strategy for your parts. Our CMM experts can help you resolve most challenging metrology questions, develop inspection plans and help you develop your measurement programs in native DMIS language for our CappsDMIS CMM software.

Manufacturing

We offer machine commissioning to prepare your machine to perform accurate measurement tasks which will help your manufacturing cycle.  We can develop part programs that will be integrated into your manufacturing cycle or executed by the operator. Our CappsNC ad CappsDMIS software have excellent reporting functions which can be automated to generate graphical, textual and SPC reports automatically. Measurement results from different sources and sites can be merged and assembled into a single report. Our DataView software can import measurement results in real time from various measurement devices and display in a simple view for quick assessment.
